1% For The Planet inspires businesses to take responsibility for the environment and donate 1% of sales to nonprofits that fight for social and environmental justice. Members are contractually required to report their sales and donations each year to keep them accountable.
A lot of companies say they are socially conscious, but we wanted to prove it! Through a combination of donations and pro-bono projects, our agency regularly gives back to the community and the planet.
The Planet Needs Us
Only 3% of total philanthropic giving goes to environmental causes. Along with all the other members, we provide support to the most urgent environmental issues of our time. When we all work together, 1% really adds up.
1% Is Just The Start
You can always give more, but you should never give less than 1 percent. 1% For The Planet was founded to stop greenwashing certify reputable giving and provide accountability by giving a certification to businesses that meet their high-bar commitment.
