How we reduced Naked Loans cost per application by 83% with Facebook and Google advertising.

The Client

Naked Loans is a family-owned business that helps people get approved for car loans, with access to over 30+ lenders to make sure they get the best rate. They also help people who’ve been rejected by the bank and even also give people with bad credit a second chance to access financial support.

 

The Challenge

When they came to us they were working with an existing advertising agency who was charging them a lot of money, but not providing the level of service you’d expect. The agency would take days to get back to them, and the responses weren’t very helpful.

When they first launched their cost per lead started around $80, but over time increased to $200. It seemed the campaign was set up well at the start and wasn’t touched since then! The agency told them this was normal and didn’t make changes, yet still invoiced them a huge amount.

This is the type of thing we can’t stand — but thankfully, Naked Loans reached out to us. Our first goal was to get their cost per lead under control and increase profitability. Once that was done we would re-design their website which needed some love.

Create New Ads

We created a brand new campaign with fresh ads. We made the ad copy much more personal, vs a generic ad from a finance company. We also created multiple versions to see which angle worked best, rather than creating one single ad and hoping it works.

Review the customer journey

Successful advertising is more than just writing fancy text. You have to look beyond the ads. What's the customer journey? What pieces of the funnel need attention? We improved the landing page design and sales copy, then reduced the number of form fields.

Launch & Monitor

We also realised the conversions weren’t working correctly, so we set them all up from scratch and launched a brand new campaign with new, accurate data. We let it run for a few days and kept a close eye on it, using a scientific and logic-driven approach.

In the first week, our cost per lead plummeted to $30. This looked great, but they were getting low-quality leads for personal loans. We made new ads, and updated the landing page to be more car-specific.

celebrate & Maintain

After our changes, our cost per lead rose slightly but every lead was high-quality and pre-qualified for a car loan. We were able to maintain these results with a steady flow of loan applications at $40 per lead!

Design a new website

Now that the most important issue was resolved, we redesigned their website to be more modern, mobile-optimised and improve their organic search rankings.I It’s also much easier for the client to update.

The Results

There’s nothing we enjoy more than seeing a client’s campaign succeed, especially when they’ve been burned in the past. Naked Loans now has much more profitable advertising, and a reliable team of experts to help them every step of the way, so they aren’t left hanging! We still work with them and look forward to increasing their marketing channels and kicking more goals along the way.
