GoldyLost is an Australian-based business that creates high quality wigs and toppers for people experiencing hair loss and want natural looking hair. They are passionate about providing a higher quality product at a lower price point to make great-looking hair more accessible, so their customers can get their confidence back. A great product with a great mission!
The Challenge
Clementine (the owner) had spent a lot of money with a marketing agency in the past with poor results. She didn’t receive much communication from them and didn’t actually know how many sales she was generating, she just knew it wasn’t making money.
She wanted to increase her sales and have more transparency into the process so she could see what’s working and what isn’t. There are some strong competitors in this space we needed to have attention-grabbing ads that properly capture everything that’s great about GoldyLost, and why they should buy this product instead of the alternatives. Here’s what we did…

GoldyLost sells a high-ticket item for a very specific client. There are a few competitor with very strong marketing and followers, so we needed to figure out the best way to convey why someone should buy from GoldyLost instead of the existing alternatives.

Website updates
They already had a website which was quite good but it was a little busy and was experiencing some issues. Given that this is an eCommerce product we had to make sure those were all fixed before we spent money driving traffic to the site.

analytics & tracking
One of Clementine’s headaches with the last agency was the lack of transparency. We set up analytics and conversion tracking, but also created a personalised spreadsheet so we could accurately track revenue, orders, return on spend and a platform breakdown.

Ads & campaigns
Now it was time to write ads and create attention grabbing visuals. We brainstormed a list of different ideas, and launched with 2 campaigns: one about the product and one about hair loss. We prioritised video content so customers could see the wig in action.

Launch & Monitor
Since everything had been heavily optimised, new customers started coming in quickly! It wasn’t just a hot start either, with the right tweaks we created steady and consistent results, while continuously lowering the customer acquisition cost.

optimise & expand
After Facebook and Instagram ads were such a success we introduced Google Ads into the mix. We continued to test different offers, angles, creatives and video content to keep improving the ads and keep growing this great business.
